Giulia Canu

Giulia is an Italian and Nigerian national who grew up in rural northern Italy. She moved to Glasgow, Scotland in 2019 to pursue an MA in International Relations at the University of Glasgow, where she currently works as an Office Administrator in the School of Law.

She first joined the Peer Support Group to connect with the network of EU Citizens experiencing pre-settled status insecurity due to long absences. Realising the power of grassroots community-organising, she later joined the EU Citizens Campaign Network to take direct action in support of EU citizens’ rights.

She is also involved in activism campaigns in the Glasgow area, relating to workers, renters, refugee and LGBTQIA+ rights.
