Mass Lobby - Fix the Digital Status
On 23rd June, we're headed to Westminster to speak to our MPs. Will you join us to mark the 9th anniversary of the Brexit Referendum by getting our voices heard?

If we come together to ensure that more MPs than ever hear our stories and concerns, we can push the Home Office to fix digital status once and for all. We urgently need an independent review of the eVisa, digital-only immigration status and for the government to explore alternatives.

The Mass Lobby is a crucial opportunity to raise our voices directly with MPs. By reaching out to as many decision makers as possible, we can ensure the Home Office hears our concerns loud and clear and is pushed to fix the digital status.

Every day, EU citizens and family members like you are struggling to navigate a broken system. Here are just a few real-life examples of how the current digital-only status system is causing harm:
- Alma is a Swedish citizen who’s been living in the UK for more than 10 years. Her pre-settled status was mistakenly marked as “expired” on her UKVI account. This caused a catastrophic error when she was denied access to free NHS care, as she has an autoimmune condition. The NHS sent her a letter stating she was no longer eligible for treatment. The emotional and physical toll of this mistake was devastating.
- Jakub is a Czech citizen and has pre-settled status as a family member. After two years of delays and issues with his application, his UKVI account still shows the wrong visa type, leaving him unable to prove his rights to his employer. This delayed his PhD studies and put his right to work at risk. It left Jakub feeling ignored and powerless.
- Aldert, a Dutch citizen, was granted pre-settled status in 2019, but in 2020 his UKVI account incorrectly displayed settled status. In 2025, he needed to generate a sharecode for his new landlord - and his status showed as expired. The distress caused by this error left Aldert panicked and worried, as he faces a housing crisis.
