How do I upgrade a BRC issued under the EEA regulations to a BRC issued under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS)?

You can no longer get any kind of new biometric residence card (BRC) or biometric residence permit (BRP).

The UK Government is making all immigration status digital-only, and from November 2024 has stopped issuing any new BRCs or BRPs.

Instead, all migrants in the UK are given an eVisa, and need to have a UKVI account to access their eVisa. If you have status under the EU Settlement Scheme, you will already have a UKVI account, as this will have been created as part of your EUSS application. See our FAQ: I have (pre-)settled status.
