Have you been refused welfare due to your pre-settled status? Come together with other EU citizens to build resilience and mutual support as a community.
We know that the reality is that thousands of EU citizens with pre-settled status are struggling to access welfare and housing support. Confusing rules, long waits and insufficient legal advice leave many at the brink of destitution and homelessness. For too many people, pre-settled status has become a precarious half-way house.
Nobody should face these challenges alone.
The Experience Forum is a space for people with pre-settled status who have faced difficulties accessing benefits, housing, or other vital support to:
- Share your story and hear from others who have been through the same struggles
- Build resilience and mutual support as a community
- Raise awareness about how pre-settled status is functioning as a form of hidden “No Recourse to Public Funds” (NRPF)

Our community organisers will support you to develop leadership, campaign for welfare justice and take strategic action. This includes speaking at events with decision makers, letter writing campaigns, mass lobbies and constituency days of action targeting MPs.
